COMMITTEES

Committees are groups that are based around the organizational tasks, functions, and projects that advance the strategic goals of the WCDPOH.

The Finance Committee is responsible for:

Overseeing fundraising and budget planning.
Managing financial records and compliance with campaign finance laws.

Planning and organizing community engagement events.
Building connections with local communities to enhance visibility.

CAUCUSES

Caucuses are groups that are based around the issues facing several demographic groups that make up the population of Wood County, and take the lead on organizing events to increase engagement and membership amongst said demographics. You don't need to belong to any of these groups to join their corresponding caucuses, you only need to be passionate about improving their quality of life through policy and community action!

The Labor Caucus' focus includes:

Issues related to workers’ rights, wages, and workplace safety.
Building alliances with labor organizations.

Advocating for gender equality and women’s rights in policy and representation.
Organizing events and initiatives to engage women in politics.

Note that while these clubs are listed as "open" to certain groups of people, this is only for voting purposes, and anyone is welcome to attend these clubs' meetings and participate in their events and initiatives!
